RESTAURANTS

A. Pickett Construction is known throughout the tri-state area as a premier restaurant construction company. We have built or remodeled dozens of the most popular restaurants in the area, including Sortino’s Italian Kitchen and Double Cut at Kalahari Resort, popular national chains Chili’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, Burger King, Primo Hoagies and Five Guys, to local favorites like Antonio’s Pizza and unique dining options like Cinco Niños and Cafe Mirage in the Poconos.

To ensure the highest quality results and a commitment to meeting each restaurant’s stringent brand standards, we hire employees, subcontractors and vendors with expertise in restaurant construction and renovation.

Restaurant construction and renovation projects require an experienced commercial contractor to manage the project from start to finish. We understand health codes, safety regulations and ADA compliance to ensure your build is done correctly the first time. Working with restaurants requires a team that can work nights and weekends and not interfere with the ongoing use of the space. We are that team.

HOSPITALITY

A hotel is a guest’s home away from home. That’s why the team at A. Pickett Construction considers every detail during a hotel renovation or construction project.

Whether you are planning a renovation while your establishment is occupied, or a complete build from the ground-up, we keep your guest’s needs and expectations at the top of mind throughout the entire process. We will ensure your entire hotel operations stay fully functional during the renovation process, including restaurants, elevators and other amenities. Our guest-oriented crews will work around your guests and employees to complete your renovations on time. We utilize our decades of experience providing value engineering services, finding significant savings for our clients through our knowledgeable staff’s design-build capabilities.

We’ve constructed some of the region’s most popular resorts and hotels, including the Kalahari Resort Hotel and employee housing, Hampton Inn & Suites, Willowbrook 6, Candlewood Suites and Motel 6.

INDUSTRIAL

Industry is an important part of our region’s economic long-term success. A. Pickett Construction has been selected by many companies in the area to renovate or build warehouses, additions and production facilities to keep these companies producing their products.

We’ve worked with some of the area’s best known companies with a large regional or national customer base, including Susquehanna Brewing Company, Baakkavor USA and Innovative Foods. We understand the unique safety and sanitary needs of companies in the food and beverage industry and will exceed your expectations for renovating or building facilities that meet your current and future production needs.

RETAIL/GROCERY

Grocery and retail stores are the heart of every community. Today’s grocery and retail stores need to be bright, clean and spacious, in addition to being functional. Customers have come to expect a positive shopping experience, and that’s what our crews strive to achieve.

A. Pickett Construction has renovated or built many of the area’s most popular grocery and retail stores, including Price Chopper and Weis Markets. We keep safety and sanitation as a top priority in our company, which is a requirement in this market.

We’ve also constructed or renovated other types of retail stores, including Kay Jewelers, Ethos Cannabis Dispensary and Dandy Mini Marts.  We pride ourselves on the quality of the finished product and making our customers more than satisfied with our work.

The safety and security of their employees and customers is at the forefront of the design, renovation and construction of their facilities, incorporating the latest in high-tech security systems with each project.

Our recent projects include the new FNCB Bank branch in Dunmore and First Keystone Community Bank. Contact us today to discuss your financial institution’s renovation or new construction needs.

PROFESSIONAL/MEDICAL AND EDUCATION

We understand that medical facilities, educational institutions and other professional buildings have different needs and requirements than a traditional construction project. Our experienced construction team will work with you to ensure that every regulation is fulfilled on the renovation or construction of your specialized facility.

The A. Pickett Construction team has worked with Luzerne County Community College, Johnson College and Misericordia University on multiple educational projects, as well as with other companies such as Microbac Labs and RCN Cable for their professional office building. The variety of companies we work with exemplifies our versatility as a full-service construction company.

RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS

Nothing is more personal than a church, synagogue or other place of worship. The team of experienced contractors at A. Pickett Construction understands this. We have worked closely with the religious leaders and board members on the construction or renovation of many religious institutions throughout the region, including St. Nicholas St. Mary’s School, St. Jude’s Parish, St. Peter’s Cathedral, Lake Winola United Methodist Church and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We have also renovated St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen and Good Shepherd Academy.

We have years of experience working and communicating with board members who are not familiar with the details of the construction or design-build process. We take the extra time needed to communicate with them, so they understand the project every step of the way. Many of these projects are design-build; we have the capability to take a project from the board’s concept to design, through permitting and all the way to a finished building that will last the community for decades to come.
