Joe Solano, Co-Founder
In 1985 after 20 years experience in the construction business as a carpenter, chief estimator, project coordinator, and project manager Joe, along with Jim Zavaskas created A. Pickett Construction Inc. Joe's first project with A. Pickett Construction Inc. was a Burger King and to this day we still build for Burger King Corporation having built over 20 stores in the last 19 years and remodeling numerous other stores. Although Joe is kept busy running the corporation, he still can be found assisting the estimating department and out on job sites doing random inspections. This insures that our customers receive the finest possible workmanship and value on every project. His philosophy that a satisfied customer is our greatest asset has allowed A.Pickett Construction Inc. to grow and prosper.

 

James Zavaskas - Co-Founder
Jimmy Z as he is known at A. Pickett Construction Inc. co-founded the company with Joe Solano in 1985. Jimmy Z brought the company his vast experience in project management. It has been Jimmy’s skill, craftsmanship and managerial expertise that have navigated A. Pickett Construction Inc. to its current position. Jimmy oversees each project from conceptual, site planning and budgeting to turnover and occupancy, ensuring quality, cost effectiveness and timeliness of each project.

  James Gruver - Vice President Property Plant & Equipment
Gruver (as he is known by his friends) has been with the company since its' conception. His primary objective is to obtain maximum operating time and use of companies facilities and equipment at a minimum cost.

  Jennifer Britzke - Chief Financial Administration Assistant
Jen came to A. Picket Construction Inc. in 1991 as an office helper. We soon realized she had a work ethic and enthusiasm that would carry her much further. Jen now is not only responsible for maintaining A. Pickett Construction Inc.'s accounting and fiances, but she is also key in developing and maintaining the company's systems for executing financial services.
  Michael Gill – Business Development Representative
Mike joined the A. Pickett team in 1991. He is a graduate of Johnson College, with a degree in Building Construction Technology. He began his career as a Carpenter, and then transitioned into a Job Superintendent. Mike has over 20 years of construction experience and knowledge from groundbreaking to ribbon cutting. Mike assists customers in helping them with their needs to suit their particular building project, and answer any questions that may arise during the planning stages. With Mike’s knowledge and understanding of the construction field, he will make the customer’s transition easy into their newly constructed or remodeled facility.
 

Chuck Giardina, Business Development Manager
Chuck has over 35 years experience in the construction industry as estimator and construction project manager. Over the last 8 years he has worked directly with owners, architects and engineers with an emphasis on design build and fast track projects. Chucks specialty is establishing relationships with owners and helping their dreams become reality. This is done via the team concept that includes owner, builder and design professional working together.
